TARGETED EXPERIENCES DOC MAREMMA TOSCANA FOR WINE DESTINATIONS ITALY
In Livorno the first edition on 13 and 14 November
The protagonists are many wines and as many wine experiences to discover.
Grosseto, November 2021_The wines and companies of the DOC Maremma Toscana will be the protagonists of the first edition of the Wine Destinations Italia event (winedestinations.it) to be held in Livorno on the weekend of 13 and 14 November. The event – which focuses on wine tourism throughout Italy – is dedicated to wine lovers, professionals and operators in the sector. The organization is headed by the European Sommelier School of Livorno which aims, as the national motto says, to “teach the art of food and wine in a simple way”.
“The wines of our Denomination are characterized by an extremely large and uncontaminated territory that attracts tourists from all over the world”, says Francesco Mazzei, president of the Tuscan Maremma Wine Protection Consortium which has been working for years to create synergies with the entire tourism chain because convinced that “the visits to the cellar have fortunately restarted but the consumer has ever new needs and expectations that must be satisfied with an integrated offer of experiences that revolve around oenology and complete it. The passion for wine is increasingly combined with the desire to know faces, stories, traditions and in Maremma we have a lot to offer to any type of tourist, ranging from the wildest nature to Etruscan history, from the hills to the Argentario coast. . ” At Wine Destinations Italia it will be possible to meet the producers, taste the wines on display and listen to the stories of the companies.
In a dedicated space there will be 14 companies of the Consorzio Tutela Vini della Maremma Toscana with different labels including Red, White and Rosé. The goal is precisely to tell not only what will be in the glass but also the wine experiences that the producing companies themselves can offer at their facilities, including tastings, wine pairing, farmhouses, restaurants, hospitality and much more. You can buy your favorite wines but also book the experience to be lived later in the Tuscan Maremma area.
The appointment is for Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 November at Wine Destinations Italia at the Cruise Terminal, Silos and Magazzini del Tirreno in Piazzale dei Marmi in Livorno.
