EXCELLENT RESULTS IN THE UNITED STATES FOR THE WINES OF THE TUSCAN MAREMMA

A good debut: over 200 operators and sector journalists in all who in Miami, Houston, New York and Chicago were able to approach the Denomination by tasting about forty labels produced by a delegation of Consortium Companies Protection of wines from the Tuscan Maremma

Grosseto, April 2021_ “Although we were obviously able to participate only virtually in events in the United States, it was important to see with how much curiosity and interest the operators of the sector approached the wines of the Maremma and the territory from which they come “, says the president of the Consortium Francesco Mazzei who, together with the director Luca Pollini,” guided “the guests during the tastings presented by well-known professionals – such as Laura De Pasquale, Jeremy Parzen, Shawn Dore and Regina Rousseau -. It was a successful bet to want to start again in this complicated 2021 from a country where we still have a lot to do and we are only at the beginning, the will is to increase the notoriety of our wines and improve their positioning, and the enthusiasm of the public involved in these four stages – sommeliers, restaurateurs, importers, buyers and journalists – makes us understand that we have taken the right path, on a market in continuous growth ”, continues Mazzei.

The formula of the events – organized in collaboration with I.E.E.M. (International Event & amp; Exhibition Management) and which all took place during the month of March – it was the same in all stages, a masterclass dedicated to one of the focuses of the Denomination and a tasting stand with about 40 labels. “The in-depth analysis on the autochthonous whites, reds / rosés and also on the international reds and whites or even the reds obtained from Blend was very much appreciated”, says the director of the consortium Luca Pollini, explaining that “the public was struck by the variety of the enological proposal that it certainly remains a plus of the Denomination. We have presented a range of different types of wines, which even when they have the same ampelographic base are offered with very different expressions, thanks to the variability of the pedoclimatic conditions of the production area. This is what makes Maremma unique and what fascinates those who discover it, managing to embrace a very large audience of admirers. “

The companies that have captured the great interest of those who have participated in this tour in the United States – about 50 selected operators in each city – are: Alberto Motta, Argentaia, Belguardo, Cantina “I Wines of Maremma “S.A.C., Cantina LaSelva, Castelprile – Prelius, Fattoria di Magliano, Fattoria Il Casalone, Fattoria Mantellassi, Fattoria San Felo, I Cavallini, La Biagiola, Le Sode di Sant’Angelo, Podere San Cristoforo, Poggio Cagnano, Querciabella, Sassotondo, Sequerciani, Casteani Estate, Montauto Estate, Villa Pinciana.
