AT VINITALY THE WINES OF MAREMMA ARE MORE AND MORE LIKED

With the return to the international wine fair
the Maremma Wine Protection Consortium was able to “meet in person”
the interest of buyers and operators for all types of the Denomination

Grosseto, April 2022_ “Returning to Vinitaly, meeting so many people again was a great emotion for us and for the public of national and international buyers and also an important moment to verify the promotion work that we were able to carry out also in this somewhat complicated period ”, states Francesco Mazzei, President of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Maremma Toscana, analyzing participation in the international wine fair in Verona.
“The response we received was very positive and this comforts us and encourages us to continue together with the producers in the project of qualitative growth and repositioning of all DOC wines, because each with its own peculiarities has shown pleasure and the potential to carve out their own market space ”, adds Mazzei.

83 labels, from 48 companies, on display in the Consortium’s new set-up of 100 square meters in the pavilion dedicated to Tuscany; great curiosity for the space dedicated to Vermentino Maremma Toscana DOC with the Top Ten 2022 of the Vermentino Grand Prix.

This type is in fact increasingly appreciated by consumers in Italy and abroad and attracted many operators to the Consortium stand, giving the opportunity to make the other native vines of the appellation known and appreciated, including Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Alicante, Ansonica and the international ones, among which Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet franc stand out. To attract the operators present at Vinitaly, in addition to the quality of the wines also their intrinsic value, well expressed by three words that well describe the DOC Maremma Toscana: territory, sustainability, authenticity.
